Last Words

A narrative card game where players break up. In this game the goal is winning, but at what cost?

About:

Last Words is an analog game that I have been developing for the past few months. My goal was to create a game where the feeling is, “you win but at what cost” and force the players to be forced to think about what it means to ultimately win a break up.

Truly outside of my comfort zone, this game not only forced me to think about how people interact with games but ultimately how people interact with each other.

I have enjoyed my experience and learning more about the human experience through the lens of breakups.

What I learned:

  • How to properly research and develop analog games

  • Basic card designs in Adobe Illustrator

  • How to properly execute play test for research
